At the press conference held by the Chinese delegation after the talks, Xi Jinping said that in the past two days, the two sides have actively implemented the important consensus of the two heads of state, fully played out the role of the Sino-U.S. economic and trade consultation mechanism, on the basis of mutual respect and equal consultation, on the economic and trade issues of interest between the two sides, such as TikTok, had a sincere, in-depth and constructive communication.

With regard to TikTok, Li Zhen Steel said that China has consistently opposed the politicization, instrumentalization and arming of science and technology and economic trade issues, and will never seek to reach any agreement at the expense of its principle position, enterprise interests and international fairness.The Chinese side will resolutely safeguard the national interests and the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese-owned enterprises, and conduct technology export approval in accordance with the law.At the same time, the Chinese government fully respects the will of enterprises and supports enterprises to conduct equal business negotiations on the basis of market principles.

In response to media questions, Wang Jintao, deputy director of the Chinese National Internet Information Office, pointed out that on the basis of full respect for the will of enterprises and the laws of the market, China and the United States have reached a basic consensus on solving TikTok's intellectual property use rights through TikTok's U.S. user data and content security business, algorithms, etc. The Chinese government will approve TikTok's technology exports, intellectual property use rights and other matters.

Wang Jintao said that the Chinese government has consistently firmly supported the safeguarding of the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese-owned enterprises, and supported the active development of enterprises abroad.I hope that the United States can, in accordance with the consensus reached by both sides, provide an open, fair, fair and non-discriminatory business environment for Chinese enterprises, including TikTok, to continue operations in the United States, and promote the stable, healthy and sustainable development of China-US economic and trade relations.

Xi Jinping stressed that the results of the economic and trade talks between the two sides are not easy, and the United States cannot, on the one hand, let China take care of the U.S. concerns, and on the other hand, continue to pressure Chinese enterprises.China urges the United States to correct the mistakes, abolish these restrictive measures as soon as possible, and move forward with China, jointly safeguarding the results of the difficult Sino-U.S. economic and trade consultations, and promote the healthy, stable and sustainable development of bilateral economic and trade relations.
