Events in Yemen
On September 1, Yemen’s Houthi armed forces announced that they had fired a ballistic missile at a tanker called the “Scullyt Rae,” a ship related to Israel at the time in the Northern Red Sea, not far from Saudi Arabia’s port. The missile was launched from about 1,000 kilometers away, the most successful Houthi armed attack to date.

The Houthi armed forces say that this was to blow up the Palestinians in retaliation for Israel’s actions in the Gaza Strip. They also spoke that they would continue to block the Red Sea and the Arab Sea as long as there were Israeli ships to fight. Two days before the attack, Israel just launched an airstrike on Yemen’s capital Sanaa, killing the Houthi armed “prime minister” Rahwi and several senior officials.

The Houthi armed leaders also said that the Israeli airstrikes will only make them more violent retaliation. Since the October 2023 Israeli conflict began again, the Houthi armed forces have been tormenting in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, hitting Israeli ships with drones and missiles, and has not stopped until now. This long-range missile attack has expanded their reach a lot, and later this Red Sea shipping, fearlessly less peaceful. # Yemen # # Houthi attacks U.S. ships # # Houthi attacks # # Yemen # # Houthi attacks # # Iran # Houthi # conflict # Houthi # # Red Sea #
