Today, 32 years ago, on October 3, 1993 (August 18, 1993) my film ¡°Search¡± won the Sixth Tokyo International Film Festival Gold Prize. On October 3, 1993, the 6th Tokyo International Film Festival announced its closure after the award ceremony in Tokyo. The Chinese story film ¡°Search¡± won the Gold Prize for participating in this festival¡¯s Youth Film Competition. ¡°Search¡± depicts the anger of some elderly people in Beijing after their retirement when they organized a Kyoto Song Club. The film was highly appreciated by the audience, especially by the members of the Tokyo International Film Festival¡¯s Youth Film Competition Review Committee.
