On 28 September 1803, the French novelist Merimi was born in a family of painters in Paris. He loved literature from childhood, but his father wanted him to study law. After graduating from Merimi High School, he studied law and cared for literature. After obtaining the title of lawyer, he worked in the Ministry of Commerce. In 1828, he met Stunda, a prominent French critical realistic writer, and under Stunda's influence, he embarked on the creative path of realism.

In the early years of Merimi¡¯s creation, there were a number of short novels, such as the Clara Gassil Drama Collection and the Guillaume Poetry Collection. In 1829, he published the historical novels The remains of Charles IX, which marked the maturity of his creation. From 1829 to 1847, he wrote a number of short novels, including Tammango and Matteo Fargone, which were the boutiques of these short novels.
