Václav Havel was the first president of the Czech Republic and the last president of Czechoslovakia. Born in Prague as a family of business owners. He worked as a chemical experimentator. He studied at the Czech University of Economics in Prague from 1955 to 1957, then worked as a stage technician, screenwriter, assistant director, and theatre writer. In 1968 he was a member of the Club of non-partisan people, chairman of the Independent Writers Club, and a member of the Czech Pen Society. He was banned from engaging in artistic activities and was born as a worker. He was imprisoned 3 times in 1970 to 1989 and imprisoned 5 years in a theater.
