Charles Whistton, born February 6, 1802, was a British physicist who invented the precise measurement of the resistance of the Whistle Bridge, widely used in laboratories. In 1834, Professor of Experimental Philosophy at the King's College of London, in the same year, in the experiment he used a spindle to measure the speed of the current in the conductor. According to his proposal, this spindle was used to measure the speed of light. Three years later, he, with the British W.F. Cook, obtained a patent for early wireless telegraphy.
