Flight from Paris to London.

On February 9, 1919, a commercial aircraft completed its first return flight between Paris and London, which was an innovation in European flight history. The plane, called the Goliath, took off from England at 12:20 p.m. and arrived at an airport near Versailles in France three hours and 30 minutes later. The Goliath had two engines with a maximum flight speed of 97 miles per hour. The French pilot said he encountered several problems during yesterday¡¯s flight from Paris to London. He said the north wind was too strong at the time. But the passengers didn¡¯t seem to complain.
