Today, 382 years ago, on February 25, 1643 (Calendar 7 January 1643) was born Sultan Ahmed II of the Ottoman Empire. Ahmed II (25 February 1643–1695) was the Sultan of the Ottoman Empire, whose reign lasted from 1691 to 1695. Ahmed was the son of Sultan Ibrahim (1640–48) and inherited the empire of his brother Sultan Sultan II (1687–91). Ahmed's most famous operation was the establishment of the DaVizel (Premier), when Ahmed reigned for just a few weeks, the Ottoman army was deadly beaten, and during the Battle of Slanman the Ottoman Empire was defeated by the Ottoman army led by Sir Bartholomew Ludwig Wilhelm Wilhelm, and expelled from Hungary.
