American geneticist and evolutionary biologist Dubusky was born

by Duby Blusky
On January 25, 1900, the American geneticist, evolutionary biologist, one of the founders of New Darwinism (synthetic theory) Dubblusky was born in Russia.
Dubblusky was a Russian-American evolutionary geneticist. He was born in Russia on 25 January 1900 and died in California on 18 December 1975. Dubblusky was a member of the American Academy of Sciences, and was also hired by the Academy of Sciences of the Netherlands, Sweden, Brazil, Italy. In 1917 he joined the Biological Faculty of the University of Kiev in Pasadena, graduated in 1921, then taught at the University of Kiev and St. Petersburg, and in December 1927 he went to the United States. First to the University of Columbia, and under the guidance of T.H. Morgan and his colleagues, he studied fruit mosquito genetic sciences. In 1928, he followed Morgan to the University of Pasadena as a professor of biology. In 1937 he joined the American nationality. In 1940-1960 he taught at
On January 25, 1900, Dubblusky was born in Nemirov, the Russian Empire, his father was a teacher of mathematics. In 1910, his family moved to Kiev. During high school, Dubblusky collected a lot of butterflies and decided to become a biologist. From 1917 to 1921, Dubblusky attended the University of Kiev. After graduation, Dubblusky remained teaching until 1924. Then Dubblusky went to Leningrad, teaching from Yuri Filipchenko, working at the newly established Black Belly Mouse Laboratory.
On August 8, 1924, Dubblusky married the geneticist Natalia Natasha Seweltsev, who had a daughter after marriage, and then married the American anthropologist Michael D. Ko. This stage of Russia experienced the First World War, the 1917 Russian Revolution and the Russian Civil War, which caused huge social unrest.
In 1927, Dubblusky emigrated to the United States with the funding of the Rockefeller Foundation. At Columbia University, Dubblusky became a colleague with Thomas Hunt Morgan, a pioneer in genetics using black-belly flies. From 1930 to 1940, he followed Morgan to work at the California Institute of Technology. Dubblusky used numerous facts to prove the widespread existence of genetic variations in natural populations.
In 1937, Dubblusky published Genetics and the Origin of Species, one of the main papers of modern integrated evolutionary chemistry, combining Darwinism and chromosome genetics theory.
In 1940 Dubblusky returned to Columbia University and worked until 1962. He then went to Rockefeller College until his retirement in 1971.
On June 1, 1968, Dubblusky was diagnosed with leukemia. On February 22, 1969, his wife Natasha died of a coronary artery blood clot. Dubblusky continued to work at the University of California Davis and served as an honorary professor after retirement in 1971.
In the summer of 1975, Dubblusky's condition worsened. On December 18, he died of heart failure during a brief visit to San José, aged 75.
