Breaking-News >> TodayHistory The Reformed Martin Luther died.
Martin Luther (1483-1546), the initiator of the 16th century European religious reform movement, the founder of Christian (protestant) Lutheranism. Born in Esbjerg, Germany, in a family of small miners. He was a professor of theology at the University of Widenburg in Germany since 1512 and was exposed to the advanced humanist thought of the time. In 1517, he issued the 95th Doctrine, which criticized the pope’s sale of ransombooks, and sparked the fire of religious reforms. He repeatedly spoke, denying the pope’s authority, advocating “faith to be saved” and believing that man should be saved by God, not by obeying the rules of the church, but by his personal faith. He advocated the establishment of a “cheap church” without the religious system and religious rituals, supporting the confiscation of church property by the German princes, advocating the mission in the national language, and translating the Bible into German. His claims reflected the demands of the civil class and were in part in the interests of the Clergy. Martin Luther played an active role in the early days of the Reformation, but when the German Peasant War broke out in 1524-1525, he openly stood with the monks and advocated the brutal repression of the peasants.
