On March 3, 1991, after 132 days of sea navigation and land exploration, the United Nations Maritime Silk Road Expedition arrived in Osaka on the morning of March 3, 1991 by the Peace Ark in Japan. Osaka was the old port of ancient Japanese travelling to China and the last stop of this 28,000-kilometre maritime expedition.
