Thirty-nine years ago today, on February 4, 1986 (December 26, 1985 in the lunar calendar), the CCP strictly prohibited party and government organs and party and government cadres from doing business and running enterprises. On February 4, 1986, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council issued the Provisions on Further Stopping Party and Government Organs and Party and Government Cadres from Doing Business and Running Enterprises. It is also stipulated that children and spouses of leading cadres are not allowed to use the influence and relationship of leading cadres to do business and run enterprises.
