According to media reports from Southern Television of Venezuela, Russian satellite news agency, President Maduro announced at a press conference in Caracas, the capital of Venezuela, on September 1, local time, that Venezuela will join the global governance initiative put forward by China.

Maduro said at a news conference for the international media that Venezuela had received official documents and that he would sign the document.

On September 1st, the 25th meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states and the "Shanghai Cooperation Organization Plus" meeting were held in Tianjin, China.

The Venezuelan government issued a statement on the same day saying that the global governance initiative is related to the global development initiative, the global security initiative and the global civilization initiative, and aims to build Community of Shared Future for Mankind. Venezuela supports the global governance initiative proposed by China.
