Martin Luther (November 10, 1483 ¨C February 18, 1546), actual name Martin Luder, the initiator of the Protestant Reformation, was a priest, theologian and theological professor of the Council of Oslo who wanted to avoid the division of the Church to the purpose of the Reformation of the Church. His speech and writing genius, as well as his respectful humanity, made his claims very popular. His reformation ended the unique status of the Catholic Church in Europe in the Middle Ages. His translation of the Lutheran Bible remains the most important German Bible translation to date.

For Luther, the only way that man communicates with God is the Word of God¡ªthe Bible. But the Bible and God only speak to those who have faith, and this faith is also given by God, not by man.
