June 22, 1969 South Yemen 62 Correction Operation
Today, 56 years ago, on June 22, 1969 (Calendar, May 8, 1969), South Yemen 62nd correction action. November 30, 1967 South Yemen independence. Ruled by the “Occupied South Yemen National Liberation Front”, the power struggle within the National Liberation Front continued. In mid-June 1969, right-wing President Shabi dismissed the position of Interior Minister of the left-wing leader Hussein, backed by the army, and the contradiction intensified. On June 22, the Saudi President was forced to resign, and the National Command announced the establishment of a five-man Presidential Committee, Salem-Rubai-Ali as chairman of the Presidential Committee. After the establishment of the President’s Committee, the Committee announced that it had all the executive power of the country to carry out “natural and correct actions”
