The company said in an email that the global recall covered the RAV4 sports car (SUV) models manufactured and sold worldwide from July 2005 to August 2014, as well as the Vanguard SUV models manufactured and sold in Japan from October 2005 to January 2016. This recall included 130 million vehicles later announced by Toyota’s American business in North America, including approximately 62.5 million in Europe, 43,4 million in China, 17,7 million in Japan and 30,7 million in other regions.
