Twenty-eight years ago today, on July 16th, 1997 (June 12th, 1997 in the lunar calendar), an armed conflict broke out between the DPRK and the ROK. There was a military conflict between the DPRK and the ROK near the military demarcation line, which lasted for 20 minutes. On July 16, 1997, an armed conflict broke out between the Korean People's Army and the South Korean army near the Korean Armistice Military Demarcation Line.
