Today, 86 years ago, on January 1, 1939 (November 11, 1938 in the lunar calendar), the Kuomintang Central Committee decided to expel Wang Jingwei from the party. Wang Jingwei, who plotted to assassinate the regent in 1910. On January 1, 1939, the Kuomintang Central Committee passed the "decision to expel Wang Jingwei from the party and revoke all his posts". Wang Jingwei participated in the China League in his early years. After the Revolution of 1911, he was bribed by Yuan Shikai, holding Yuan and stealing the country. After Yuan Shikai failed, he defected to Sun Yat-sen. In 1925, he served as chairman of the National Government in Guangzhou. In 1927, the "July 15th counter-revolutionary coup" was launched. After the September 18th Incident, he advocated compromise with Japan. After the outbreak of War of Resistance against Japan, he served as vice president of the Kuomintang, chairman of the Central Political Committee and president of the National Political Participation Conference. He left Chongqing in December 1938 and publicly surrendered to Japan. At the end of 1939, he signed the "Outline for the Adjustment of Japan-China New Relations" with Japan to betray the country. In 1940, the puppet national government was established in Nanjing as its chairman. Died in Japan in 1944.
