The Israel Defense Forces and the Israeli National Security Directorate (Shin Bet) issued a statement on September 9 confirming that targeting the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) Senior members carried out a "precision strike."

The statement said that the hit members of the Hamas leadership were "directly responsible" for the large-scale attack on Israel in October 2023 and have been planning and directing operations against Israel.

Another senior Israeli official told Israel's Channel 12 that US President Trump "approved" Israel'sand QatarAttacks against the Hamas leadership.

Trump gives'final warning 'to Hamas, with PM: Eliminate

On Sept. 7, local time, the Israeli military destroyed more than 50 buildings in Gaza, and about 100 other buildings were damaged in varying degrees, including high-rise residential buildings.
