Seventy-six years ago today, on January 26th, 1949 (December 28th, 1948 in the lunar calendar), the National Government released Japanese war criminal Okamura Ningzi. On January 26th, 1949, the military court of the Kuomintang government acquitted Okamura Ningzi, a Japanese war criminal who invaded China, and the remaining 260 Japanese war criminals who invaded China, and planned to "repatriate them to Japan" on January 26th, 1949. The actions of the Kuomintang government have seriously hurt the dignity of the Chinese people. On January 28th, the Chinese Communist Party asked the National Government to re-arrest Neiji Okamura, the culprit of the Japanese invasion of China, but the Kuomintang refused.
