Oli was born in 1952 and is the chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal (United Marxist-Leninist). He was elected Prime Minister of Nepal in October 2015. He was re-elected Prime Minister in February 2018. In May 2018, the CPN (United Marxist-Leninist) and CPN (Maoist Center) merged to form the Communist Party of Nepal, with Oli as co-chairman. After the CPN split in March 2021, he once again served as the chairman of the CPN (United Marxist-Leninist). In July 2024, Oli was sworn in as the new Prime Minister of Nepal. This is his fourth time as Prime Minister of Nepal.
