The national "sexual civilization" survey conducted by the Shanghai Research Center for Sexual Sociology was a success. This sample survey, involving 15 provinces, cities and autonomous regions including Heilongjiang, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong, Shanxi, Ningxia and Xinjiang, is the largest survey on sexual issues in my country. This year-long survey sampled 23,000 cases, with a pass rate of 97%. According to authoritative sources, such a large-scale investigation of sexual problems also ranks first in the history of sexual science in the world and has attracted attention at home and abroad. The survey was conducted mainly among middle school students, college students, couples and sex offenders. The content includes six aspects of adolescent sexual physiology development, sexual knowledge, sexual concept, husband and wife relationship, family planning and sexual crimes. The preliminary results of the investigation show that the physiological precocity of middle school students is very obvious at present, but the popularization of sex education in different places is not balanced, and there are great differences in the concept of premature love, premarital sexual behavior and extramarital sexual behavior. The lack of sexual knowledge and the proliferation of obscene materials are important factors affecting the healthy growth of young people and inducing sex crimes. Relevant people believe that sexual civilization is one of the basic tasks in the construction of socialist spiritual civilization. The results of this large-scale survey provide decision-making data for popularizing sex education, consolidating family relationships and preventing sexual crimes in my country.
