On July 2, 2013 (May 25, 2013 in the lunar calendar), Taiwanese performing artist Li Guoxiu passed away due to illness. Picture: Li Guoxiu Li Guoxiu (Hugh K.S.Lee, December 30, 1955-July 2, 2013), born in Taipei City, with his ancestral home in Laiyang, Shandong Province. He is a Taiwanese playwright who integrates editor, director, actor and troupe leader. He participated in the establishment and performance of Lanling Theater Studio and Performance Workshop, and later founded the Screen Performance Class. He served as the artistic director of the Screen Performance Class. He is also an associate professor at the Institute of Script Creation at the National Taipei University of the Arts. From April to June 2010, he served as an artist in residence at Qingyun University of Science and Technology. His wife was Wang Yue, a well-known Taiwanese artist. He died of colorectal cancer at 3:34 am on July 2, 2013. He was 58 years old.
