Emperor Tongzhi of the Qing Dynasty died of illness

Aisin Gioro Zaihou (1856-1875) was an emperor of the Qing Dynasty. His temple name was Mu Zong and his year name was Tongzhi. In 1861, Zachun, who was only 6 years old, ascended the throne. His biological mother Yehnara (Empress Dowager Xi, Empress Dowager Cixi, and Empress Dowager Nara) took power and exercised power behind the curtain. During this period, the policy of "borrowing foreign troops to help suppress" was implemented to suppress the revolution of the Taiping Great Power. Later, the Nian Army, the Hui uprising and the Miao uprising were suppressed, delaying the crisis of feudal rule. He died on January 12, 1875 (the fifth day of December, the 13th year of Tongzhi in the Qing Dynasty). At the same time, Emperor Guangxu ascended the throne.
