In order to allow domestic Guangzhou Mazda 6 customers in China to enjoy services that are synchronized with international standards and create a vehicle environment that allows customers to feel at ease, FAW Car Co., Ltd. submitted a recall application to the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine on June 17, 2004, and decided to start carrying out recall maintenance simultaneously with Japan's Mazda Company on June 18, 2004. We apologize for the inconvenience caused to some Mazda 6 sedan customers. Cause of the failure: The gap between the fuel tank insulation device and the exhaust pipe is not large enough. When the vehicle is driving, the fuel temperature and the temperature near the fuel tank increase, which may cause the internal pressure of the fuel tank to increase. Due to the high temperature, the rigidity of the fuel tank is reduced, and the fuel tank is much expanded than expected. In this case, the fuel tank insulation device and the exhaust pipe will affect each other, making the surface temperature of the fuel tank higher than the allowable temperature, which may eventually lead to local deformation of the fuel tank or even local melting.
