On July 23, 2010 (June 12, 2010 in the lunar calendar), Chen Shaoji was investigated. Chen Shaoji, male, Han nationality, born in September 1945, from Zhongshan, Guangdong, chairman and party secretary of the 10th CPPCC National Committee of Guangdong Province. On April 16, 2009, it was confirmed by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection that it was under organizational investigation on suspicion of serious violations of discipline. On July 23, 2010, the First Intermediate People's Court of Chongqing City sentenced Chen Shaoji, former chairman of the Guangdong Province CPPCC, in the first instance of the bribery case. In court, the public prosecution agency presented evidence of the accusation, and the lawyer entrusted by Chen Shaoji appeared in court to defend him. Media reporters, dozens of people and some of Chen Shaoji's relatives attended the trial of the case. The total is equivalent to more than RMB 29.595 million. After being brought to justice, the defendant Chen Shaoji was able to voluntarily confess most of the facts of the bribery crime that the case-handling agency had not yet known. During Chen Shaoji's tenure in the Guangdong Province Public Security Department, the Guangdong police community performed brilliantly and won the "most prestigious era" for the Guangdong police community. Chen himself has led the detection of important cases such as the "East Star Ship" robbery case, the "Panyu" robbery case and the "thief of the century" Zhang Ziqiang case.
