101 years ago today, on March 8, 1924 (February 4, 1924, the lunar calendar), my country commemorated the "March 8" International Working Women's Day for the first time. The first time China women held a commemorative event on March 8 was in 1924. Under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, working women in Guangzhou held commemorative meetings and parades. The meeting was presided over by He Xiangning, a pioneer of my country's women's movement. The slogans of "Down with imperialism" and "Protect women and children" were put forward at the meeting. This event shows the awakening and strength of working women in China.
