She married Li Shaoshi, a member of the Communist Party of China, in 1930, and established a secret transportation station in Hong Kong to provide liaison between the Central Soviet Area and Shanghai, where the Party Central Committee is located. In 1931, she joined the Communist Party of China, and in 1933 she worked as an English translator in the "China Workers 'News Agency", our party's first external propaganda agency. After the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War, she worked in the China Women's Anti-Enemy Support Association chaired by He Xiangning. In 1938, she helped escort Bethune, Ke Dinhua and others to the Liberated Areas in Hong Kong. Later, she, together with Liao Chengzhi and Deng Wenzhao, established the Alliance for the Defense of China chaired by Soong Ching Ling and served as Soong Ching Ling's secretary. She was also responsible for the liaison work between Zhou Enlai and Soong Ching Ling. During the War of Liberation, she worked underground in Shanghai and contributed to the victory of the War of Liberation. In the spring of 1949, she participated in the preparatory work of the All-China Women's Federation, and in the same year, she participated in the first plenary session of the China People's Political Consultative Conference. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, she was a representative of the First, Second and Third National People's Congress, a member of the Fifth and Sixth National Committees of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, an executive committee member of the First, Second and Third All-China Women's Federation, a member of the China People's Committee for the Defense of World Peace, a member of the China-Japan Friendship Association, and a member of the Soong Ching Ling Foundation. Since Comrade Liao Mengxing joined the Party for more than 50 years, he has been loyal to the cause of communism and immersed himself in working for the Party in obscurity. She ignored personal safety, strictly adhered to party discipline, and made unique contributions to the party's secret liaison work. She devoted her life to the cause of world peace and firmly implemented the party's foreign policy. For half a century, she has done a lot of work to oppose aggressive forces, safeguard world peace, and develop the friendship between the China people and the Japanese people and people of other countries around the world. During the Cultural Revolution, Comrade Liao Mengxing was severely attacked and persecuted by the Gang of Four. She always insisted on seeking truth from facts and resolutely resisted the Gang of Four.
