On this day, 86 years ago, March 8, 1939 (January 18, 1939, the Japanese army occupied Nanchang. The Japanese army was attacking Nanchang. On March 8, 1939, the Military Commission of the Kuomintang Government deployed the Battle of Nanchang. Chiang Kai-shek telegraphed Xue Yue, acting commander of the 9th Theater Area, to first control the enemy and launch an attack on the Japanese army in northern Jiangxi. The attack should be ready before March 10, and the attack would begin on March 15.
