On August 16, 2005 (July 12, 2005 in the lunar calendar), a Colombia passenger plane crashed in Venezuela, killing 160 people. 152 residents of the French island of Martinique returned home on a flight of Colombia Western Caribbean Airlines after a long week of vacation in Panama.
