When the Paris Commune was proclaimed, thunderous cheers sounded in the square. The Paris Commune was the first proletarian regime in human history. After the Franco-Prussian War, class contradictions in France were extremely acute. On March 18, 1871, the proletariat and people in Paris, France, held an armed uprising, overthrowing the reactionary rule of the bourgeoisie. On March 19, the Central Committee of the National Guard took full control of power in Paris. The National Self-Defense Force issued a declaration announcing that the commune would be established by workers through election and that after the commune was elected, power would be transferred to the commune. On March 26, the Paris Commune held elections and elected a total of 86 commune members, most of whom were workers or recognized representatives of the working class. On March 28, 1871, the commune members took office and the Paris Commune was born. The first proletarian regime in history was solemnly proclaimed. On March 29, the commune issued a decree declaring that "the Paris Commune is the only political power." This proletarian uprising, which occurred in the early stage of the capitalist large-scale industry, was unable to carry out its desire to overthrow capitalist rule and realize scientific socialism. But as a feat, it brings us education and reflection. It profoundly shows that democracy in capitalist society is only democracy within the bourgeoisie.
