On this day, 48 years ago, on March 18, 1977 (January 29, 1977 in the lunar calendar), Nguwabi, former Congolese President and founder of the Congolese Workers 'Party, was assassinated and passed away. March 18 is the anniversary of the death of Marian Nguwabi, former Congolese President and founder of the Congolese Workers 'Party. Nguwabi studied military affairs in his early years. After graduating from the military academy, he participated in the "August Revolution" that overthrew the reactionary Yulu government. Later, he served as commander of the garrison force in Pointe-Noire. In 1968, Nguwabi launched the "July 31" Movement, forcing Masamba-Deba to resign as president. He became chairman of the National Revolutionary Council and commander-in-chief of the National People's Army. The Congolese Workers 'Party was founded in December 1969, and Nguwabi was elected chairman and became president. During his lifetime, he visited our country.
