On this day, 133 years ago, January 12, 1892 (December 13, 1891, the first person in Taiwan to join the Alliance was born. Weng Junming (1892-1943) was a senior official of the Kuomintang. Born in Chenghai, Guangdong, he was born in Tainan, Taiwan. Joined the Alliance in his early years. In 1915, he was arrested for plotting to assassinate Yuan Shikai. He moved to Xiamen in 1916. In 1942, he opened a training class for Taiwanese party staff of the Organization Department of the Central Committee of the Kuomintang in Jiangxi, and served as a class teacher. In the spring of 1943, he served as chairman of the Taiwan Party Headquarters of the Kuomintang. In November of the same year, he was assassinated and killed in Zhangzhou, Fujian.
