On 110 years ago today, on September 15, 1915 (August 7, 1915, the lunar calendar), Chen Duxiu founded Youth Magazine. The first issue of "Youth Magazine" was founded in Shanghai on September 15, 1915 as "Youth Magazine". The monthly magazine was edited by Chen Duxiu. Chen published the article "Warning to Youth" on the inaugural issue. Since Volume 2 (September 1916), it was renamed "New Youth" and has since become a central publication for anti-feudal and advocating democratic revolution. Since January 1919, Volume 6 was reorganized and edited by Chen Duxiu, Qian Xuantong, Gao Yihan, Hu Shi, Li Dazhao, and Shen Yinmo. Before and after the "May 4th" Movement, with the main content of advocating democracy, science and advocating new literature, Lu Xun's short stories "The Madman's Diary","Kong Yiji","Medicine", Li Dazhao's papers "The Victory of the Common People","The Victory of Bolshevism", Chen Duxiu's paper "The Reply to the Crime of a New Youth", etc. It played an active role in promoting Marxism, opposing feudal ethics and morality, and calling for the awakening of human nature. Since its eighth volume in September 1920, it has become an official publication of the Shanghai Communist Group. The Communist Party of China was founded and once became an official publication of the Party Central Committee, edited by Chen Duxiu. Published in July 1922. In June 1923, it was changed into a quarterly journal and became a theoretical organ journal of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, and was moved to Guangzhou for publication. It was changed to a non-periodical publication in April 1925 and ceased publication in July the following year. Chen Duxiu was deeply stimulated by the changes in the current situation in China after the failure of the "Second Revolution". He believed that there was no point in engaging in political revolution in China, and that to "save China and build a republic, we must first carry out ideological revolution." After hard work, Shanghai Qunyi Bookstore agreed to publish "Youth Magazine" edited by Chen. Chen Duxiu's publication "Addicting to Youth" is a programmatic article in the magazine. The article Kaiming Zongyi pointed out that the three things of "human rights theory","biological evolution theory" and "socialism" are the characteristics of modern civilization. To realize these three things of social reform, the key lies in the new generation of young people's own awareness and renewal of concepts. He encouraged young people to advocate freedom, progress and science, have a global perspective, and focus on practice and progress. He summarized the reasons for the prosperity of modern Europe and believed that human rights and science are the two wheels that promote the progress of social history. Therefore, we must first hold high the two flags of science and democracy in China. The founding of "New Youth" was a symbol of the rise of the New Culture Movement, and the article "Adhering to Youth" became the manifesto of the New Culture Movement.
