He has made friendly visits to India, Japan and other countries and participated in activities commemorating the 20th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between China and Japan. He participated in the independence celebrations of Namibia, participated in the negotiations on the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Namibia, and signed the joint communiqué on the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Namibia.
