On this day, 130 years ago, on February 21, 1895 (January 27, 1895 in the lunar calendar), Xingzhong Hui was established. Strictly speaking, the anti-imperialist and anti-feudal bourgeois democratic revolution in modern China began with Dr. Sun Yat-sen. Sun Yat-sen started the revolution, marked by his creation of the revolutionary group Xingzhong Association. In 1894, Sun Yat-sen went to Honolulu, the United States, to promote the anti-Qing revolution among overseas Chinese and founded the Xingzhong Association, the first bourgeois revolutionary small group in China. The "Charter of the Xingzhong Association" drafted by Sun Yat-sen was adopted. This charter does not clearly put forward the main purpose of armed anti-Qing Dynasty, but is to win widespread sympathy and support from overseas Chinese businessmen in order to raise funds. However, the secret oath of membership stipulates that the struggle tasks that members must unswervingly and faithfully perform are to "expel the Tartars, restore China, and create a united government." Here, for the first time, a revolutionary program to overthrow the feudal autocratic government of the Qing Dynasty and establish a bourgeois democratic republic like the United States of America was proposed. In late January 1895, Sun Yat-sen arrived in Hong Kong and actively established a revolutionary organization with Yang Quyun, Chen Shaobai, Lu Haodong, Zheng Shiliang and others. On February 21, the Xingzhong Association headquarters was announced at 13 Staunton Street, Central, Hong Kong, and the revised "Xingzhong Association Charter" was adopted. This charter even more fiercely criticized the decadent and reactionary rule of the Qing Dynasty, profoundly pointing out that at that time,"politics was not cultivated and the integrity was corrupt, the court sold titles and officials, and the government stripped the people and swept the land, and overrode tigers and wolves. The current social situation of China, where thieves are rampant, famine is intertwined, and the people are in dire straits."This more clearly points the focus of the struggle at the Qing court and government, and publicly reveals the purpose of the Xingzhong Association to fight against the Qing Dynasty. However, the Hong Kong Xingzhong Association headquarters has posted a "Qian Heng Xing" sign to cover it in the form of business. In late February 1895, Sun Yat-sen and others went to Guangzhou to establish a branch of the Xingzhong Association, and hundreds of people joined one after another. Most of the members of the Xingzhong Association are overseas Chinese small and medium-sized capitalists, civil servants, freelancers (teachers, doctors, missionaries, etc.), workers, etc. Xingzhong Association is a revolutionary group mainly composed of the bourgeoisie, petty bourgeoisie and their intellectuals. After the Xingzhong Association was established, it actively planned the uprising in Guangzhou. Later, when the uprising plan was leaked, Lu Haodong was arrested and died, and Sun Yat-sen went into exile abroad. In 1899, Xingzhong Association founded "China Daily" in Hong Kong to promote revolution. In 1900, the Xingzhong Association sent Zheng Shiliang to launch an uprising in Huizhou, and Shi Jianru responded in Guangzhou. As a result, the uprising failed. Xingzhong Association also has many branches abroad to develop organizations among overseas Chinese. In 1905, the Xingzhong Association, the Huaxing Association and the Restoration Association jointly established the China Alliance.
