Since last winter, the Japanese army has massacred a large number of Volunteers

On January 17, 1933, Mao Zedong and Zhu De issued the "Declaration of Willing to Fight Japan with All Armies across the Country on Three Conditions to Oppose Japanese Imperialism's Invasion of North China."

The declaration said: People of all China! The Japanese invasion of North China resulted in the killing of entire villages and civilians, the destruction of cities and villages, and increased suffering and famine. Because of the non-resistance and surrender of Chiang Kai-shek, Zhang Xueliang and others, and because of their oppression, demobilization and massacre of anti-Japanese soldiers, large numbers of China soldiers died under imperialist guns and guns. The Kuomintang helped Japan carry out further massacres, while at the same time they used all their strength to suppress the anti-imperialist struggle and organize armed volunteers.

The Chinese Soviet Government and the Revolutionary Military Committee once again reminded the people of China that in April last year, we had called on the people of the whole country to join us in the armed struggle against Japan. Chiang Kai-shek's answer to this call was to mobilize all troops to attack China's workers 'government and the workers' red army rather than resist Japanese imperialism.

The Chinese Soviet Government and the Revolutionary Military Committee of the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army declared in front of the China people: Under the following conditions, the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army of China is prepared to conclude combat agreements with any armed forces to oppose Japanese imperialist aggression.

(1) Immediately cease attacks on Soviet areas;

(2) Immediately guarantee the democratic rights of the people (freedom of assembly, association, speech, publication, strike, etc.);

(3) Immediately arm the people and create armed volunteer forces to defend China and strive for the independence, unity and territorial integrity of China. We demand that the people and soldiers of China respond to this call, launch an armed national revolutionary war, and oppose Japan and all imperialism.
