39 years ago today, on September 20, 1986 (August 17, 1986 lunar calendar), our country's first modern offshore oil production platform was completed. On September 20, 1986, our country's first offshore installation project of a modern offshore oil production platform that meets international standards was completed in Chengbei Oilfield, Bohai Sea, and commissioning was successful. This shows that our country has been able to independently manufacture complete sets of equipment for the whole process of exploration, drilling and oil production in offshore oil fields. After acceptance by technical experts from China and Japan, the quality of the platform fully meets the design requirements. The offshore oil production platform consists of two platforms. One is the production platform (oil production platform), which is an offshore crude oil treatment plant that treats the produced natural oil into qualified commercial crude oil. There are 126 sets of crude oil processing equipment and more than 1,000 automated monitoring and testing instruments on the top, and 23 boreholes are connected, with a daily output of 4,000 barrels of crude oil and 40,000 cubic meters of natural gas. The other platform is a public facilities and living platform, which is mainly equipped with power generation equipment, heating equipment, fire protection equipment, fresh water manufacturing equipment and oil storage equipment. There are 20 living rooms with a total of 70 beds. The main control room of the entire oil production platform is also located on the platform. There is a 20-meter-long trestle connecting the two platforms. The two platforms are respectively fixed on the seabed with a water depth of 15.3 meters by nine thick steel columns. The designed service life is 15 years. It fills a gap in the manufacturing technology of offshore oil production facilities in our country. The design and manufacturing of the oil production platform was jointly completed by Shanghai Offshore Oil Platform Design Company, Dalian Shipyard and Xingang Shipyard. Bohai Oil Company undertook the offshore installation of the module, and the entire project was contracted by China Offshore Oil Platform Company, a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Industry Corporation.
