41 years ago today, December 14, 1984 (October 22, 1984), our country's famous Qigong master Guo Lin passed away. Guo Lin, the founder of Guo Lin's new Qigong. Originally known as Lin Guanming, also known as Lin Meishu. Born on June 8, 1909, died on December 14, 1984. A native of Zhongshan Sanxiang, Guangdong, he lost his father at the age of two. At the age of six, he followed his grandfather to learn Tongzi Gong and Hua Tuo Wuqinxi. At the age of fourteen, he went to Guangzhou to study alone and entered Guangdong Women's Normal School to study art. During school, due to his quick thinking and good speech, he was elected as the president of the student union, and later was elected as the deputy head of the Guangzhou Student Anti-Japanese Petition Corps. He led a team to Nanjing to petition the Kuomintang government. After graduation, he taught in primary and secondary schools in Guangzhou. When the Anti-Japanese War broke out, he fled to Hong Kong and founded Tongde and South China Academies. Later, he founded the Shanghai Women's Art Academy in Shanghai, both of which served as their own presidents. After liberation, he joined the Beijing Academy of Painting as the creative work of Chinese painting. Guo Lin was an intelligent, diligent and studious child. He loved painting and sports. He won the women's 10,000-meter long-distance running championship in Guangzhou and the women's cycling championship. He also held many personal Chinese painting exhibitions in Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Macau and other places. She is known as the strange woman in Guangzhou. In early 1949, Guo Lin suddenly suffered from uterine cancer and underwent a complete surgery. In 1959, the cancer was transferred to the bladder. After surgery, Guo Lin developed Qigong as a means of anti-cancer rehabilitation, so he began to study a lot of Chinese and foreign medical books, studying medicine, pathology, anatomy, meridians, psychology and other works. At the same time, he made friends with famous Qigong teachers. After ten years of reading and practicing Qigong, he finally established a self-contained "new Qigong therapy". In the process of creating Qigong, Guo Lin found that not only did his cancer not recur, but his chronic diseases such as heart disease, arthritis and high blood pressure for many years were cured. Guo Lin thought to himself that if this set of exercises could really treat chronic diseases and cancer, it would be a great contribution to humanity. Therefore, on September 4, 1971, she resolutely went to the society and taught the new Qigong therapy that she created to the vast number of patients. Due to the unique curative effect of the new Qigong, it was well received by patients, and the vast number of patients came like a tide. At that time, it was the ten-year catastrophe. In the teaching of kung fu, she was repeatedly attacked. Guo Lin did not waver. She firmly believed that her actions were a great cause for the benefit of mankind. She always took no penny and was enthusiastic about teaching kung fu and treating patients. For patients with economic difficulties, she opened the purse generously and funded to provide them with nutrition, which was deeply loved by patients. Due to Guo Lin's hard work, the new Qigong therapy was not only widely spread in China, but also quickly spread to the United States, Canada, Japan, Singapore, the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia and Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao. Guo Lin died of cerebral hemorrhage in Beijing on December 14, 1984 at the age of 75 due to overwork due to the dissemination of new Qigong. After Guo Lin's death, due to her great contribution to the cause of Qigong in the motherland during her lifetime, leaders of the Qigong community and medical professionals have made high praise for Guo Lin: because Guo Lin developed the teaching method of Chinese Qigong from single and small-scale teaching to a large-scale group professor, Zhang Zhenhuan, director of the principle of the China Qigong Scientific Research Association, called Guo Lin a leader in setting off a new upsurge in Chinese Qigong, and Li Zhiyong's "History of Chinese Qigong" praised Guo Lin as: "The most outstanding representative of Qigong practice in preventing cancer." Guo Lin's hometown, Sanxiang Town Government, Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province, built a "Guo Lin Memorial Pavilion" in his hometown in recognition of Guo Lin's achievements. Tao Bingfu, director of the Documentation Committee of the China Qigong Scientific Research Association, said that Guo Lin made three major contributions to Chinese Qigong, and it can be said that there are three firsts: "The first is to transform the hereditary single transmission of Chinese Qigong into the teaching of Qigong to the majority of patients to cure diseases; the first is to propose that Qigong can prevent and treat cancer; the first is to advocate the comprehensive treatment of cancer by Western medicine, traditional Chinese medicine and Qigong." Professor Feng Lida, MD, vice president of the World Medical Qigong Society, founded the "Chinese Qigong Park" and built a forest of steles in the park to erect a monument celebrating the late Qigong practitioners who made significant contributions to the motherland Qigong. Guo Lin's monument ranks first in the forest of steles, and the eight golden characters "Famous Qigong Master Guo Lin The upper two pictures are: Mr. Guo Lin at the teaching site. The upper picture is: a group photo of Mr. Guo Lin and Mr. Lin Xiao when they were young. The upper picture is: Mr. Guo Lin lectured in the park in the 1970s. Guo Lin was not discouraged in the face of setbacks and did not back down in the face of difficulties. The spirit is worth learning.
