On this day, 34 years ago, on February 22, 1991 (January 8, 1991, the "Measures for the Management of Foreign-related Archaeological Work of the People's Republic of China" was promulgated and implemented. On February 22, 1991, the State Administration of Cultural Heritage announced that the "Measures for the Administration of Foreign-related Archaeological Work of the People's Republic of China" had been approved by the State Council and promulgated for implementation. This marks the official opening of archaeological work in China to the outside world.
