After the founding of New China, the People's Democratic Construction Corporation took the "Common Program" and the general program of the Constitution of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference as the program, and determined the political line of accepting the leadership of the Communist Party and serving socialism. It has played an important role in consolidating the people's democratic dictatorship, restoring and developing the economy, and realizing the transition from New Democracy to Socialism, especially actively cooperating with the Party's socialist transformation of capitalist industry and commerce. Since entering the new era, the People's Construction Corporation has actively adapted to the requirements of the development of the situation, resolutely implemented the basic line of the primary stage of socialism, gave full play to the advantages of close ties with the economic community, paid attention to the role of the original industrial and commercial operators, and actively carried out economic consulting services, professional training for industry and commerce, and the introduction of overseas Chinese capital and foreign investment. It There are more than 69,000 members, mainly composed of representative figures from economic theory teaching and research units and relevant enterprises.
