Liu Bao, Emperor Shun of the Han Dynasty, was born in the second year of the Yuan Dynasty (115). He was the son of Liu Hu, Emperor An of the Han Dynasty. His mother was Li, a palace official (he was poisoned by Yan Ji, Empress of the Han Dynasty, and later posthumously named Empress Gong Min). In the first year of Yongning (120 years), Liu Bao was made Crown Prince.

In the third year of Yanguang (124 years), Wang Sheng, the nursing mother of Emperor An of Han, the eldest Qiujiangjing, and the middle-aged servant Fan Feng framed Wang Nan, the nursing mother of Prince Liu Bao, and the chef (the chef officer of the ancient court) Jiaoji, Wang Nan and Jiaoji were killed, and Prince Liu Bao often sighed that the two were killed. Wang Sheng and others were afraid that Liu Bao would take revenge on them in the future, so Wang Sheng colluded with Fan Feng and Jiang Jing to frame Prince Liu Bao, and Liu Bao was therefore deposed as King Jiyin.

On the tenth day of March in the fourth year of Yanguang (April 30, 125), Emperor Han An went to Zhangling to worship, and passed away suddenly when passing through Ye County. Empress Yan Ji and her brother Yan Xian, Jiang Jing, Fan Feng and others planned and said: "Now Emperor Han An died on the road, and King Jiyin Liu Bao was in the dynasty. If the public secretary found out that he was established as the emperor, it would become a big harm." So he falsely claimed that Emperor Han An was suffering from a sudden illness, and moved his body to a sleeping car. He ate food wherever he went and asked about living as usual. On March 13, the car drove and returned to the palace. On the evening of March 14, Emperor Han An was mourned, and Yan Ji was honored as the empress dowager. When Yan Ji was in the regency of the dynasty, he appointed Da Hong Luyan as the general of the car and the third division of Yitong. Yan Ji wanted to monopolize the imperial government for a long time and planned to establish a young emperor, so she made a plan with Yan Xian and others in the palace to support Liu Yi, the grandson of Emperor Han Zhang and the son of Liu Shou, King Hui of Jibei, as the emperor [3-4], known in history as the young emperor. Because Liu Bao was deposed, he was not allowed to go to the hall to participate in the funeral of Emperor Han An in person. He mourned and did not eat, and all the officials inside and outside mourned for it.

In October of the fourth year of Yanguang (125 years), Liu Yi was seriously ill, and brothers Yan Xian, Jiang Jing and others were with Liu Yi. Jiang Jing took Yan Xian to a place where no one was around and said to him: "Marquis Beixiang fell ill and the matter of the successor to the country should be determined in time. Liu Bao, King of Jiyin, was not appointed before. If he is appointed now, he will definitely hate him in the future. Why didn't he make preparations earlier to recruit other princes and select the person who will be appointed emperor? "Yan Xian thinks it is right. On October 27, Liu Yi passed away. Yan Xian, Jiang Jing and others petitioned the Empress Dowager Yan Ji not to mourn and recruit the princes of King Jibei and King Hejian. After Liu Bao learned the news, he closed the palace gate and stationed his troops on his own. On the evening of the fourth day of November, before the princes of Jibei and Hejian had come to the capital, 19 eunuchs including Sun Cheng of Zhonghuang Gate joined forces to kill Jiang Jing and others, and welcomed the establishment of Jiliu Bao to succeed him as Emperor Shun of Han. Emperor Shun of Han killed all brothers Yan Xian, Yan Jing, Yan Yan and their henchmen, moved Yan Ji to live in the Li Palace, and her family moved to Jing County.

Sun Cheng and other 19 eunuchs supported Liu Baogong and were all granted the title of marquis. Since Emperor Shun of Han relied on eunuchs to obtain the throne, he handed over power to the eunuchs. Liu Bao himself was gentle but weak. Later, the eunuchs colluded with their cousin Liang, and began the Liang's autocracy for more than 20 years. Eunuchs and relatives colluded with each other to exercise power and arbitrariness. The politics of the Han Dynasty became more corrupt, class conflicts became increasingly acute, and the people were full of complaints, making it difficult for the people to live.

On the sixth day of the eighth month of the first year of Jiankang (September 20, 144), Emperor Liu Bao of Han Shun died in the front hall of Yutang at the age of thirty. After the death of Emperor Shun of Han, his son Liu Bing succeeded to the throne as Emperor Hanchong. On September 12 of the same year, Emperor Shun of the Han Dynasty was buried in Xianling. The temple name was Jingzong and the posthumous title was Emperor filial piety.

In the first year of the first year of Chuping (190), there was a request from the Division, and Di Mu Zong, An Di Gong Zong, Shundi Jing Zong, and Huandi Wei Zong had no merit and should not be called Zong; and they also respected the Empress, Jingyin Empress, and Gong You Empress. After they were not legitimate, they were all asked to remove their honorific titles. The emperor's decree said: "Yes."
