On December 9, 1997, according to a report released by the Israeli peace organization, the Information Center for Human Rights in the Occupied Territories, from the outbreak of the Palestinian uprising against Israeli occupation on December 9, 1987 to November 30, 1997, a total of 1860 people on both sides were killed in the conflict. The group released the report to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Palestinians 'uprising against Israel.
