Theodosius II (Greek :Θεοδ?σιο?Β', Latin: Flavius Theodosius; April 401 July 28, 450), eldest son of Arcadius and grandson of Theodosius I, reigned as Emperor of the East from 408 to 450 and compiled the laws of the empire into the Code of Theodosius in 438.
Theodosius II (-), born in Constantinople, fell from his horse and died in Constantinople at the age of 49. Eldest son of Arcadius (emperor), grandson of Theodosius I (emperor), uncle was Henorius (emperor). Reigned from 408 to 450.
In 421 AD, she married Eudocia (formerly Athenais, 393- 460 AD); her daughter was Lyquinia Eudocia (422- 462 AD).
On January 10, 402 AD, he was named co-ruler by Arcadius. From 408 AD, he held sole imperial power in the east. During his reign, he assisted the defense of the Western Empire and betrothed his daughter to the Western Emperor Valentinian III.
Theodosius II compiled the laws of the empire into the Code of Theodosius in 438.
