On this day, 98 years ago, on October 27, 1927 (October 3, 1927 in the lunar calendar), the Communist Party of China established the Jinggangshan Base Area. Jinggangshan Huangyangjie In October 1927, the Red Army of the Communist Party of China began to establish its first rural base area in Jinggangshan. The Jinggangshan Base Area is located in the middle section of the Luoxiao Mountains on the border between Hunan and Jiangxi provinces, including Ninggang, Yongxin, Lianhua, Suichuan and other counties in Jiangxi and Jixian and Chaling counties in Hunan. After the autumn harvest uprising troops were reorganized in Sanwan, they arrived in the ancient city of Ninggang County, Jiangxi Province on October 3. The former enemy committee held a meeting to summarize the experiences and lessons of the uprising. Then the uprising troops moved south along the Luoxiao Mountains, walking and fighting, and traveled about thousands of miles. They arrived in the Jinggangshan area on the 27th. They restored and established local party organizations in Ninggang, Yongxin, Chaling, Suichuan and other counties, established workers, peasants and soldiers governments, and established peasant red guards in each county. The two local armed forces led by local Yuan Wencai and Wang Zuo were transformed into the First Division and Second Regiment of the Workers and Peasants Revolutionary Army, laying the foundation for the establishment of the Jinggangshan base area.
