In 530 AD, Emperor Xiaozhuang of the Northern Wei Dynasty (Yuan Ziyou) killed the domineering and monopolistic minister Er Zhurong. Emperor Wei Zhuang was killed by Er Zhuzhao, Er Zhuzhao's younger brother, and Yuan Gong (Emperor Mindi of the Northern Wei Festival) was appointed emperor. The Ermi family punched the court hard. Later, Gao Huan (from Ci County, Bohai Sea, Xianbei Han people), a general of the Erzhu family, led the six towns of Xianbei, from Binzhou to the Kanto area, and one after another eliminated the Erzhu family's influence in all parts of Kanto. In 532, Gao Huan went to Luoyang. In 533, Shang Huan eliminated the Erzhu family, killed Emperor Jiemin of Wei (Yuan Gong), and established Emperor Xiaowu of Wei (Yuan Xiu). In 534, Yuan Xiu was unwilling to be controlled by Gao Huan, so he fled Luoyang and defected to the general guarding Guanzhong, whose name was Wentai. On January 23, 535 (the fourth day of the twelfth lunar month of the third year of Yongxi), Gao Huan established another Emperor Xiaojing of Wei (Yuan Shanjian). He took charge of the government and returned to Ye (now North of Anyang, Henan). It was known in history as the Eastern Wei.
