October 13, 1903, the second birthday of Japanese writer Taki Kobayashi
122 years ago today, October 13, 1903 (August 23, 1903 in the lunar calendar), the second birthday of Japanese writer Taki Kobayashi. Takiji Kobayashi is an outstanding Japanese writer. Born on October 13, 1903 (August 26, 1903 in the lunar calendar) into a poor peasant family. During his youth, with the financial support of his uncle, he graduated from Otaru City Higher Business School in Hokkaido. In 1924, he joined the Hokkaido Development Bank as a staff member. In November 1929, he used the bank's information to expose the bank's crime of colluding with landlords to exploit farmers in the novel "In a Foreign House". In February 1930, he moved to Tokyo and became a professional revolutionary and writer. He joined the Communist Party of Japan in 1931 and has been the main leader of the Japanese Revolutionary Writers Organization since then until his death. Takiji Kobayashi's creation can be roughly divided into three stages: from 1910 to 1927, the first stage. His main works include: "Takiko and Others","Prison", etc. During this period, Marxism began to be introduced to Japan, and the broad masses of workers and peasants spontaneously embarked on the path of resistance to the oppression and exploitation of landlords and capitalists. Takiji Kobayashi's work describes this spontaneous resistance. The second stage was from 1928 to 1929. His main works include: "March 15, 1928","Dongju Know Safe Travel","Crab Worker Boat","Master in the Field", etc. During this period, the Japanese workers and peasants launched large-scale organized struggles under the leadership of the Communist Party of Japan. Takiji Kobayashi's work reflects this struggle. In particular,"March 15, 1928", which is based on the "March 15 Incident" of Japan's reactionary government's suppression of the revolutionary movement, successfully depicts the glorious image of several revolutionaries who were upright in the face of severe tests. The third stage was from 1930 to 1932. His main works include: "Underground Party Member","Organizer","Anzi","Zuwei Village", etc. During this period, the reactionary Japanese government actively prepared for the war of aggression against China and crazily suppressed the revolutionary movement internally. The class struggle was sharp and complex. His novels reflect this reality. In particular,"Underground Party Members" exposes the reactionary nature of Japanese reactionaries 'invasion of China and expresses the glorious image of Japanese revolutionaries who are not afraid of sacrifice and move forward bravely. It is a representative masterpiece of Japanese proletarian literature. On February 22, 1933, Takiji Kobayashi was unfortunately arrested while secretly meeting with his comrades and died in torture by the enemy. In his message of condolence, Mr. Lu Xun said: "The Japanese people and the people of China are brothers... We resolutely step on Comrade Xiaolin's bloody path and move forward hand in hand!"
