The first international exposition opened in London, UK

On May 1, 1851, the first World's Fair was held in London, England. The fair mainly showcased the economic achievements and cultural traditions of the participating countries, and did not directly carry out trade activities. The exhibition hall was built in Hyde Park in the center of London. The exhibition lasted for more than 5 months, with more than ten countries participating, and was open to the public, with as many as 6.30 million visitors. The exhibition brought huge economic and social benefits to the UK.
