Thirty-four years ago today, on January 28, 1991 (December 13, 1990 lunar calendar), Deng Xiaoping visited Shanghai. From January 28 to February 18, 1991, during his inspection in Shanghai, Deng Xiaoping pointed out that we should pay close attention to the development of Pudong and not waver. I hope the people of Shanghai will be more emancipated in their minds, more courageous and faster in their steps.
