46 years ago today, on December 12, 1979 (October 23, 1979 in the lunar calendar), the Lu Xun Research Society was established in Beijing. In December 1979, the Lu Xun Research Society was established in Beijing. Soong Ching Ling served as honorary president and Mao Dun served as president. Attending the founding meeting were more than 150 well-known nationally writers, Lu Xun researchers and Lu Xun's old friends during his lifetime. After the founding meeting, Lu Xun Studies held an editorial board and decided to start publishing quarterly publications in the first half of 1980. The society also plans to hold an academic symposium on Lu Xun research next year to exchange research results from various places.
